I'm half way through my sixth year of taking daily photos. I'm still taking the photos, but am finding it difficult to have the time each day to post them. So, while I may lag behind, I usually try and catch up at some point.

I think most of you knew this was coming. I've had several disappointing occurrences with this website lately, culminating with the double price increase -- which prompted me to try out some other options. After sampling Zenfolio for over a week, I'm ready to give it a try. So this will be my last daily photo here on Smugmug. I'm keeping my account since it's paid through next year. I'll be stopping in and saying hi to all of the friends I've made here, and will definitely be keeping up with you on facebook too. I've been with Smugmug for over nine years and it's very disappointing to feel the need to move, but seems the world is changing and guess I have to change along with it. Since it's a busy holiday weekend, I didn't have a lot of spare time -- but what little I've had, I've been using to try the free 14 day trial period at Zenfolio. I must say I'm very pleased with the website, and even better, the cost. I think it's a shame the way Smugmug is treating it's customers. I have been a member for over nine years and have two accounts, one personal and one for our car club.

Shame on you Smugmug.
