Carole's paternal grandmother was Nannie Blanche Emert and her are some photos from the Emert side of the family tree.

Carole's grandmother was Nannie Blanche Emert (King), Blanche's father was John Redman Emert, his father was James Daniel Emert, his father was Frederick Sanders Emert, his father was Philip Emert, who was a son of Frederick E. Emert, who was in the Revolutionary War and settled in what is now known as Emert's Cove, Sevier County, Tennessee.

irishmurr > This is what is known as the Emert home place, where John Redman and Mary Jane (Bohanan) Emert moved to from the Bohanan log cabin.  As far as we can guess, the house was built in about 1895.  Throughout the years, until Aunt Gypsy's death in 2000, the home remained in the family.

This is where the Emert family reunion was held in 2000.
